Working great so far
By DadDave
I bought this for long day hikes. I needed something small enough to be comfortable and unobtrusive, but big enough to carry rain suit, first aid kit, and some snacks and misc. small items. I've had a larger Osprey bag for over a year that I use for business trips, and its been rugged and useful, so I decided to give this one a try for the day hikes.
So far this little pack has been great. The shoulder straps are comfy with the adjustable chest strap. I was initially worried that the thinnish waist band wouldn't work well, but the wider side panels help that and it's actually just fine. It does have a nice pocket for a hydration reservoir, but I haven't used that yet. Overall it's very comfortable to wear.
The size is perfect for my needs. It's just big enough to carry rain gear, a change of clothes, and other small items. I can fit my 17" laptop in it, though I use a different bag for that regularly. The built-in rain cover does take a little space from the bottom of the main compartment, but that really doesn't bother me- its all about how you pack. It attaches with a secure clip in its own compartment and is removable if you need that little extra space. I just leave it in. I haven't had to use it yet, but sooner or later I will. I do wish the two mesh side pockets had drawstrings, but that's no biggie. They are great for small snacks, iPhone, etc. There is a little media pouch sewn into the left shoulder strap, but I haven't used it. It's big enough for a small music player, set of keys, Clif bar, etc. The separate top compartment is big enough for maps, camera, and first aid kit.
Overall, This bag seems to hit a nice sweet spot between mobility and capacity. Theres a lot of utility in this pack, built into a compact package. Just what I needed.

Use this for Overnight "Credit Card" Bike Tours
By Eric Gibson
My wife and I like to do short 80 - 100 mile overnight (in a hotel) bike tours. The medium/large size is perfect for this purpose if you pack fairly light like we do. Much simpler than messing with racks/panniers or a trailer. This backpack is very adjustable fits us both very well (she's 120 lbs. and I am 200). It does not shift around and it very comfortable while riding. It also makes a great daypack for hiking.

Everything I expected
By jim monson
I ordered the Escapist 30 (s/m) so the size is actually 27 liters I believe. The quality, workmanship and features are just as I've read about and seen in you tube videos. The fit is great with ample adjustability. I use it everyday, but bought this model specificially for when I ride my bike to/from work (60 KM round trip.) I can pack my clothes, shoes, lunch and other accessories and not feel overloaded as the Escapist just fits great on my back.
