It is constructed entirely of DuPont NOMEX fabric and will not support flame or combust up to 800° F (427° C). Flat-seam stitching on the inside won't irritate when wearing a helmet. Heavyweight Blackhawk Nomex Balaclava

As I mentioned in my review of the lightweight version of this balaclava I bought this to wear under my flight helmet in COLD weather. My job on a rescue helicopter as a hoist operator exposes me to the elements, this helps keep my face and neck warm and protected from wind burn that I have been experiencing lately during extreme cold temperature flying. Temperatures ideal for using this weight I found to be anything below 30 Fahrenheit before it gets to warm to wear. Some have noted the Nomex is a bit itchy but after a wash or two I found the hood to be fairly comfortable. Would buy again if I ever needed to replace it.

Best most Comfortable Ever ! Fits Big Noggins ! Around 7 1/4 ! Stocking thin ! But way Warmer then the Acrylic stretch hat ! So Easy to Carry ! Easy to fall in love With ! Thanks Amazon ! Delivery Again Fast !!!

VERY LARGE

Only serves in giant heads, my head is big and got loose. Material and stitching good, but does not wear well, only if you have head ET.
