Windstopper for the Ears

I purchased this hat because of the advertised Windstopper feature. I was disappointed to find out that the Windstopper material only covers 1 1/2" - 2" band around the bottom. The rest of the hat is normal knit material and does not do a very good job keeping out cold wind. However, the area with Windstopper does work quite well. There are a few holes for the ears to help with hearing others. It fits snug to the head. Overall, I like the hat, however, I wish the Windstopper would have gone all the way to the top.
